A pioneer in rapid DNA sequencing of infections

MicroGen Diagnostics is a pioneer in molecular infection diagnostics with over 10 years of expertise in Next Generation Sequencing and qPCR techniques. We have conducted 750,000+ microbial DNA sequencing tests at our CAP-accredited, CLIA-licensed facility in Texas, USA and we are licensed to provide laboratory services in all 50 US states. We have also processed patient samples from over 80 countries.

Our talented team of molecular biologists, biochemists, bioinformaticians, computer scientists and physicians provides critical insights to fight infections every day while staying on top of new technological developments.

The most published clinical laboratory

MicroGen Diagnostics is the most published clinical molecular lab, with over 100 publications to date, including in Clinical Infectious Diseases, Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, Journal of Urology etc. We have partnered with over 30 academic institutions, including Stanford University Health Care, Duke University, University of California and Jefferson Health to conduct research on Next Generation Sequencing to identify and treat infections more effectively.

Partnership in Europe with Labor Dr. Fenner

MicroGen Diagnostics has teamed up with Labor Dr. Fenner in Hamburg, a leader in diagnostic medicine in Germany, to offer rapid microbial DNA sequencing to physicians and patients in Europe. Labor Dr. Fenner is ISO 15895 accredited and provides this service as an in-house test according to Article 5(5) of the EU IVDR.

Labor Dr. Fenner employs over 200 professionals, including 20 specialized medical doctors, offering expertise in medical microbiology, laboratory medicine, transfusion medicine, environmental medicine, and human genetics.
